EDUCATION
- Advocacy:
- An
advocate is a professional who is able to assist parents and
their child(ren) with the Special School District process. The
advocate
services include:
- Meeting with parents to review and explain their child's
special education documents, i.e. IEPs, evaluation reports,
etc.
- Working with parents to help them understand the laws pertaining
to special education and how they relate specifically to their
child.
- Accompanying parents to their child's IEP meetings, evaluation
meetings, manifestation determination meetings, etc. and assisting
in obtaining the best possible educational outcome for their
child.
- Tutoring:
- Tutoring
is provided in-home and rates are $40 per hour
- Testing:
- An
evaluation can determine the presence or absence of a leaning
disability in a child/adolescent or adult.
